The companion saves reading progress and collected field records under dinoroost-passport-v1, and mission stamps under dinoroost-field-stamps-v1, in this browser’s local storage. These records are not sent to a server. No name, email address or account is needed. On a shared device, the passport is shared too.
Clearing this site’s browser data removes the saved passport and stamps. If storage is unavailable, progress lasts for the current page visit. Sound starts off and only plays when you enable it. The gallery starts paused. Your page-motion choice is saved in this browser under dinoroost-page-motion-v1; your device’s reduced-motion preference takes priority. Bell practice and map exploration reset when you leave the page.
The order and payment policies below apply to any separate order services, not to using the free companion.

The basket
Lives in your own browser, in local storage, as a list of item codes and quantities. It never reaches this site’s servers until you press check out, and clearing your browser data deletes it.
Field stamps
Completed field missions are saved as book codes in this browser only. Your choices are not sent to us. No name or account is needed. Clearing this site’s browser data removes the stamps, and missions still work when storage is unavailable.
Payment
Handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe’s own pages. Your card number never touches this site and is never stored here.
Your address
Passed to the printer so they can make up and post the parcel, and kept with the order record so we can answer questions about it. It is not sold, rented, or used for anything else.
Used to send your receipt, your ebook links and news about your order. You are not added to a mailing list by buying something.
Tracking
There is no advertising tracker, no third-party analytics and no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

Delivery estimates include manufacturing and are estimates, not guarantees. Where a printer or carrier fails, we replace the order.
Returns, replacements and cancellations are set out on the printing and shipping page and are part of these terms.
EPUB files are sold for personal use, carry no DRM, and may be read on any device you own. They may not be redistributed or resold.
The books, the covers and this site are protected in the human-authored expression and in the selection, arrangement and editing of the text and illustrations. See how these books are made.
These books are published and sold by Greenlight Publishing, and any order is a contract with them. The byline Jory Hark is a pen name: it is the name on the cover and it holds no rights.
Two things are still missing here and neither is invented: a registered address for Greenlight Publishing, and the jurisdiction whose law governs these terms. Both are owed before this site takes a payment, and until then nothing on it can be bought.
